On 6 July 2026, the Department of Science and Environmental Studies at EdUHK hosted the seminar “Exploring the Application of AI in Science Education”, with Acting Head Dr. Deng Wenjing delivering the opening remarks. This research seminar by Ms KHATTAK Lubna Hashim directly addresses critical issues under SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 14 (Life Below Water). By investigating microplastics in edible fish from aquaculture in the Greater Bay Area, the seminar provides valuable water management educational opportunities and highlights the urgent need for cooperation on water security across the region.

This Underwater Robot Fun Day, co-organised by HKUST and EdUHK, directly supports SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 14 (Life Below Water). Through interactive experiences and hands-on workshops, participants gain practical insights into water management educational opportunities and technologies towards aquatic ecosystem damage prevention. The event also fosters cooperation on water security by engaging students in real-world applications of underwater robotics.

This research seminar by Prof. MEI Xuefei directly addresses key issues under SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 14 (Life Below Water). By examining whether sea level rise causes mangrove tidal flats to be lost, the seminar provides valuable water management educational opportunities and fosters cooperation on water security in coastal regions. From 7–8 March 2026, students from the course Food Security, Safety and Management embarked on an enriching two-day study tour to Shenzhen as part of the Greater Bay Area experiential learning programme. This tour directly supports SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 14 (Life Below Water).

Location: EdUHK Taipo Campus

This 3-day immersive summer programme is designed for local secondary school students in S.3-6. It focuses on environmental studies and scientific investigation. Participants will engage in hands-on inquiry activities. We welcome students who are interested in studying science.

Location: EdUHK Taipo Campus and the marine/coastal environment in Hong Kong

This summer programme is designed to introduce senior secondary students to the field of environmental management. Through an immersive coastal field trip, students will gain foundational knowledge of environmental management while developing practical skills commonly applied in fieldwork.
