This Underwater Robot Fun Day, co-organised by HKUST and EdUHK, directly supports SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and SDG 14 (Life Below Water). Through interactive experiences and hands-on workshops, participants gain practical insights into water management educational opportunities and technologies towards aquatic ecosystem damage prevention. The event also fosters cooperation on water security by engaging students in real-world applications of underwater robotics. By exploring the importance of protecting fresh-water ecosystems and maintaining ecosystems and their biodiversity, participants learn to appreciate the challenges of overfishing and the need to support sustainable fisheries. This fun and educational day encourages conscious water usage in the wider community, inspiring the next generation to become advocates for our oceans.
