本次由梅雪菲教授主講的研究講座，直接回應 SDG 6（清潔飲水和衛生設施） 與 SDG 14（水下生物） 的核心議題。透過探討海平面上升是否導致紅樹林潮灘流失，講座提供了寶貴的 水資源管理教育機會，並促進了沿海地區的 水安全合作。梅教授在河口與海岸濕地生態修復方面的研究，為 預防水生生態系統破壞的技術 提供了實踐見解。透過本次講座，參與者將深入探討 維護生態系統及其生物多樣性 的重要性，尤其是在受威脅的 淡水生態系統 中。討論亦有助於 在更廣泛社區推廣自覺用水，提升對 過度捕撈 的認識，並在氣候變化背景下支持 可持續漁業。

You are cordially invited to attend the Research Seminar by Prof MEI Xuefei organized by the Department of Science and Environmental Studies (SES).  

Professor MEI is our visiting professor of Croucher Foundation Visitorship for PRC Scholars.  

Professor MEI is a Professor of State Key Laboratory of Estuarine and Coastal Research‚ East China Normal University, Shanghai. Prof. Mei is interested in estuarine and coastal morphodynamical processes and coastal wetland ecological restoration. She has been the leader of 5 national or provincial projects and has served as core member of 4 national key research and development programs. She has published more than 40 research papers in international journals and proposed several suggestions for coastal disaster prevention and estuarine wetland restoration.
